COGS Cartography Student Success at International Conference
Joe Fraser, center, gave a paper in Florida in October, 2010 at the North American Cartography and Information Society (NACIS) conference demonstrating extraction of Canada’s Topographic data layers using a script he produced as a Cartography student at COGS. He also won second prize in a mapping competition. He is pictured here with COGS instructor, Ada Cheung, left, and Aileen Buckley of ESRI, right. Congratulations Joe!
Environmental Stewardship Awards

Undergraduate students and master's-degree candidates are invited to apply for the National Geographic Award in Mapping. This award recognizes student achievement in the art, science, and technology of mapping and seeks to encourage student research.
