This 15-week course is an excellent vehicle for initial equipment operator training and includes a four-week work placement. Our hands-on environment is consistent with industry standards and gives our graduates the necessary skills to meet the demands of today’s employers. Training is designed to introduce clients to the field of heavy equipment and help successful graduates obtain employment in their new career.
Theory and practical content includes all necessary safety related topics and curriculum to enter the workforce at an operational level. The 160-hour practical component includes the operation of a minimum of 4 pieces of equipment including:
Grade 12, equivalent or mature student as defined by NSCC.
Previous experience in the field will also be evaluated when applicable.
