Lawrencetown is located in the heart of the Annapolis Valley, between Brickton and Paradise, but since these towns make ours look big, we will say that we are between Middleton and Bridgetown. Some might say that there is nothing in our town, but they are quite inaccurate. There are a number of shops, plenty of community groups, and a world class college with very specific orientation towards geography meshed with technology. Curious location for that? Nonsense, perfect for students to master their art, as distractions are located elsewhere. The local population and the college community compliment each other quite effectively. The college students support the businesses in town, and fill an otherwise vacant homes and apartments. Meanwhile the locals host a number of events for the students of the NSCC's Annapolis Valley Campus in Lawrencetown. The great outdoors is a great resource to Lawrencetown. Being in a Valley, there are mountains on two side of the town. The Annapolis River flows right through, splitting the town in two. The Bay of Fundy is a 10 minute drive, offering visitors the highest tides in the world and spectacular sunsets. Given these natural resources, one can hike, bike, canoe, kayak, or boat without having to go very far.
